TOOLBOX COMMITTEE
A Toolbox Committee was formed to provide a
“conduit” of communication and harmony on IMPACT
projects by holding Toolbox Meetings.
The Illowa Construction Labor & Management Council has three worksite consultants, each with over 20 years experience in the construction industry, who conduct regular meetings on each of the IMPACT jobsites at no cost to the project. The exclusive duties of the Illowa consultants are to track all
"IMPACT" jobs and to prepare, conduct and follow up on the
Toolbox Meetings. The worksite consultants compile feedback from workers, contractors, architects, engineers and owners. They follow through on suggestions and respond to information sharing. The consultants prepare Toolbox Meetings pertinent to each individual jobsite. They monitor and report on worker productivity, safe work environments, better communication and increased input from rank and file. They compile study and report on completed evaluation from project participants. The coordinators visit each IMPACT jobsite regularly and provide both verbal and written progress reports to the Council.
