This project at Unity Point-Rock Island includes 101,436 s.f. renovation and expansion of the Trinity – Rock Island campus, 43,826 s.f. new Emergency Department and a 50,461 s.f. new Heart Center. The new facility improves patient safety and privacy, better coordinate care, reduce operational costs and accommodate increased demand.

The heart center features a new catheterization lab, cardiac rehabilitation center, cardiac treatment areas and non-invasive treatment areas. The facility includes a secure front triage area, a dedicated trauma room, a general radiology room, a CT room and private elevator. 

It also has 22 general treatment stations, three of which were built to safe-room standards that ensure a room provides near-absolute protection in extreme weather events.

This project was completed by Russell Construction & Pepper Construction served as the General Contractors for this joint venture project using over 20 sub-contractors.
